Install the Edge Extension

Add Kalinotes to your Edge browser with one click from the Chrome Web Store. Edge being based on Chromium, it is compatible with Chrome extensions.

Installation Steps

Access the Chrome Web Store

Click the button above to open the Kalinotes extension page on the Chrome Web Store.

📌 Note: Microsoft Edge can install Chrome extensions directly from the Chrome Web Store.

Allow Extensions from Other Stores

During your first installation from the Chrome Web Store, Edge will display a banner:

  1. At the top of the page, you will see: "Allow extensions from other stores"
  2. Click "Allow"
✅ One time only: You will only need to grant this authorization once. It will remain active for all future installations.

Add the Extension

On the Chrome Web Store page:

  1. Click the blue "Add to Chrome" button
  2. A confirmation window will appear
  3. Click "Add extension" to confirm

Verify Installation

The Kalinotes extension is now installed:

  • ✅ The Kalinotes icon appears in the extensions bar (top right)
  • ✅ A notification confirms the installation
  • ✅ The extension is ready to use

Pin the Extension (recommended)

For quick access to Kalinotes:

  1. Click the extensions icon 🧩 in the Edge toolbar
  2. Find Kalinotes in the extension list
  3. Click the eye icon 👁️ next to Kalinotes

The Kalinotes icon will now always be visible in your toolbar.

💡 Tip: Pinning the extension allows you to access it with one click on any web page.

First Use

To start using Kalinotes:

  1. Navigate to any web page
  2. Click the Kalinotes icon in the toolbar
  3. Log in with your Kalinotes account
  4. Start taking notes!

Why does Edge use the Chrome Web Store?

Help and Troubleshooting

❓ The extension icon doesn't appear

Click the extensions icon 🧩 in the Edge toolbar to see all your extensions. Find Kalinotes and click the eye 👁️ to make it visible.

❓ I don't see the "Allow extensions" banner

If you have already allowed extensions from other stores, the banner will not appear. You can directly install the extension.

❓ I can't log in

Make sure you have created an account on app.kalinotes.com. If you already have an account, verify your credentials.

❓ The extension doesn't work on certain sites

For security reasons, Edge blocks extensions on certain system pages (edge://, chrome://, etc.). This is normal behavior.

❓ Difference with Chrome?

None! The extension works exactly the same way on Edge and Chrome, as they use the same technology.

❓ How do I uninstall the extension?

Go to edge://extensions, find Kalinotes and click "Remove". Your notes remain saved in your online account.
